Introduction of vertical gardens
When we talk about vertical green, we mean a series of techniques and systems that aim to arrange vegetation on a vertical dimension. It is therefore a system that is first of all conceptual, a particular way of thinking and designing green space, even before concretely realizing it. Of course, once the design has been defined, various construction methods can be implemented, specifically designed to meet our needs: among them, we can cite two main ones: the vertical vegetation coverings and closures. The coating is the most known and ancient method of vertical green and provides for the support of the green to an already existing structure: in this case the vegetal apparatus can be attached directly to the wall, or through a support. There is not much interaction between the plants and the closure structure, unlike what happens with the vegetable closure, so that the wall could very well exist without the presence of the plants.
